Soccer AM’s final show failed to finish without any major hiccups as Sky Sports were forced to momentarily take the programme off air to sort out technical issues with their microphones. It was announced earlier this year that Soccer AM would not be renewed for another season, bringing an end to the iconic football show.

The show, which launched back in 1995, quickly became a fan-favourite for football lovers up and down the country.

But Sky are looking to move in a different direction with Saturday Social set to replace Soccer AM in the 10.30am slot from next season.

That made this Saturday the final ever Soccer AM show with presenters John Fendley and Jimmy Bullard giving the popular programme a last send-off.

Special guests featured actor Steven Graham, comedian Jack Whitehall and rapper Stormzy.

And the show got off to a rocky start with Sky forced to mute the channel a handful of times due to expletives from the guests.
